Take The Pledge
What is Take the Pledge?
Take the Pledge to Save Lives is an innovative program focusing on members of Black Greek Letter Organizations. The goal of Take the Pledge to Save Lives is to increase the number of individuals who sign up on the Michigan Organ Donor Registry while increasing awareness about diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. The program is offered to members of participating Michigan alumni chapters of African American sororities and fraternities. During the project, we will train sorority and fraternity members, called peer leaders, to discuss organ donation with fellow sorority/fraternity members in their chapter. We will also ask chapters to incorporate organ donation awareness into their chapter events. Participating chapters will receive a stipend of up to $1,000 for their participation during the project.
